Luxury
Never compares itself. Sets its own price. Makes buying it take a little effort, and is worth it.
Fifteen Plays
The luxury Plays carry the method from The Luxury Strategy by Kapferer and Bastien, the standard text on how luxury brands are actually run. They are already in your Booked catalog.
The idea the whole family rests on
Mixing the rules of luxury, premium and fashion is what costs money. Most performers and event businesses are premium, and that is a good place to be. It is a different rulebook, not a lesser answer.
Never compares itself. Sets its own price. Makes buying it take a little effort, and is worth it.
Pay more, get more. The price is justified by what it does, and the buyer can compare.
Trends, seasons, speed. Desirable now rather than permanent.
How to use them
Open Plays and start with Luxury or Premium? Positioning Check. Or ask the Help buddy where to begin, and it will point you there.
Ask for the tour, or run the first Play by name.
/booked:luxury/booked:run luxury positioning checkDo these once, in this order
Says whether your business is being run as luxury, premium or fashion right now. Run this first: the other fourteen read its answer.
What your brand really is: the true story, the signature pieces, the details that should show up everywhere.
The shape of your packages: a signature offer, a tier above it, the core that makes the money, one honest way in.
The lines on your website and in your emails that make you look cheaper than you are, rewritten in your own voice.
Your real limits turned into copy: dates left, prep hours, years of training. Only what your calendar can back.
Moves effort from ads toward private moments, partners and press, and designs one event of your own.
Long-form content that gives people something useful instead of pitching at them.
If you sell through planners, venues or agencies: why you are on their critical path, and how to pitch from strength.
Run these when the moment comes
Before a consultation or a reply about price.
Before any discount goes out. Turns it into a private offer instead.
Once a booking is confirmed. Turns the wait into part of the show.
Every month or so. Remembers what past clients loved and when their moments come.
Memorials, celebrations of life and charity work. Dignity and open pricing.
When you are tempted to add a service. Tell it the idea.
Before switching on any automation. Tell it which one.
Two promises
Every Play ends at a draft or a note for you. Client sends and money wait for your yes.
No price, famous client or scarcity claim appears unless your own records back it. If they cannot, the Play will not write it.
If the Positioning Check comes back premium or fashion, the rest still work. They apply the rules that hold for that strategy and say which ones they set aside.
