I marked a gig as lost but it still shows under Today, On the calendar (and on my Mac calendar)

Last updated October 11, 2026

A gig you marked Lost should not sit under On the calendar on your Today tab, and from Booked Solid OS 1.11.100 on it no longer does. If you are on 1.11.99 or older, update and the declined gig drops out of that list by itself, with nothing to change on the record.

Why it happened

A declined gig keeps the event date it once asked about. The On the calendar list shows dated gigs from today through the next two weeks, and before 1.11.100 it checked only the date, never the stage. So a lost gig with a date still ahead of you looked like it was coming up. The sync to your Mac's own Calendar app had the same gap.

The Calendar tab has left lost gigs out since 1.11.21, which is why the two screens disagreed. Marking the gig Lost again changes nothing on an older build, because the old list never read the stage.

What 1.11.100 changed

Today's On the calendar list and the Mac Calendar sync now follow one rule: a gig at Lost or Show completed is finished and is never shown as coming up. Booked gigs and open leads dated in the next two weeks still show, soonest first, up to four at a time.

Check your version and update

  1. Open the Settings tab and find Updates. It reads "You're running Booked Solid" followed by your version number.
  2. If the number is lower than 1.11.100, click the Update ready badge in the top bar, then Restart & install. No badge? Click Check for updates in the top bar.
  3. After the restart, open Today. The lost gig is no longer under On the calendar.

If you sync to your Mac's Calendar app

This only applies if you turned on Calendar - your gig dates under Settings > General > Your Mac's own apps and pressed Sync now. The sync copies gig dates onto a calendar named "Booked Solid", each one titled with the gig name plus "(gig)". It only ever adds and never deletes, so a lost gig copied there before you updated stays until you remove it.

  1. Update to 1.11.100 first. On an older build, the next Sync now copies the lost gig straight back.
  2. Open the Calendar app on your Mac, find the event on the Booked Solid calendar, and delete it like any other event.

If you cannot update right now

Your record is fine, so the entry is safe to ignore. The list only looks two weeks ahead, so the gig also leaves it on its own once the event date has passed. Clearing the gig's Event date would hide it sooner, but you would erase a true fact about the gig, so we do not recommend it.

Still showing after you update?

Click the gig under On the calendar. It opens that record on the Gig Desk. Check that its Stage really is Lost: a gig turned down by email but never marked is still an open lead, and it is meant to show. If it is marked Lost and still shows on 1.11.100, send us the gig name and your version number.
