My terminal Booked Solid says 2026.07.04 and is not getting updates: update your BookingHQ folder from the Green Room

You run Booked Solid in the terminal, your version reads 2026.07.04, and update booked solid keeps telling you that you are current. You are not. This page explains why, and walks you through the one update that fixes it. It takes a few minutes, and your bookings, leads, drafts and settings are kept.

Why your copy stopped updating

• If you set your BookingHQ folder up in July, its update check asks an address that stopped being restocked in July. It answers that you are current no matter what is actually out.
• If you downloaded the workspace between 3 August and 10 September, the archive itself was hollow: placeholder files where the playbook, stages, templates and scripts should have been.

Both were fixed on 10 September. To check your own copy, open the file _config/version inside your BookingHQ folder, or ask Claude to read it. It holds one date-style line. Anything older than 2026.09.10 predates the fix.

Update your folder

1. Go to booked.kivimedia.co/green-room and sign in with the email you bought with. A one-time code arrives by email.
2. Scroll down to the card headed Your Booked Solid OS terminal package. It sits below the live calls, walkthroughs and owner guides. With an Otto license, click Download the Autopilot package. With a Pearl license, click Download the Pro package. The zip lands in your Downloads folder.
3. Open Claude in your BookingHQ folder the way you normally do and say, word for word: update my BookingHQ from the package I just downloaded, following the updating guide inside it
4. Claude backs your folder up first, checks the download is complete, then lists exactly what it will replace and waits for your yes. It replaces only the playbook files (such as CLAUDE.md, stages, references, templates and scripts). It never replaces your brain, leads, inbox, queue or your saved settings.
5. When it finishes, say: check my workspace. It checks the 73 published files and names anything missing or damaged.

From then on, update booked solid spots new versions by itself and tells you when there is a new package to download.

Good to know

• Never let Claude write a missing file from memory. If the check reports a missing file, or says your workspace predates file list verification, send us exactly what it says instead.
• A list of files changed by you or by an update is normal right after updating. Files you filled in during setup show up there too.
• Updating the desktop app does not update this folder. Check for updates in the app refreshes the app. The playbook files in BookingHQ only come from this package.
• No terminal package button? The button follows the license on the email you signed in with. If you bought under two emails, sign in with the one that holds your Pearl or Otto license. DJ and AV or balloon editions see Download the terminal adapter instead. If you still see nothing, email us and tell us the plan name shown next to Sign out.
