Booked Solid
Privacy Policy
Effective July 22, 2026
Who we are
Booked Solid is published by Kivi Media (Magician Business LTD). This policy covers the Booked Solid website, the mobile app (Android and iOS), and the desktop app.
How the app is built (and why we collect so little)
The Booked Solid phone app is a remote control for the Booked Solid desktop app. It pairs to your own computer over your private Tailscale network and shows you your booking desk on your phone. Everything you see and do in the app - your leads, conversations, tasks, and any files you send - travels directly between your phone and your own computer over an encrypted connection. It does not pass through a Booked Solid server, because there isn’t one for this data.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, no email or password in the phone app (pairing is done by scanning a code).
- No lead names, messages, dates, prices, or booking details on any server of ours.
- No contacts, no location, no photo-library access, no microphone.
- No analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. No third-party trackers.
Website marketing choices
The DJ and AV offer asks you to choose between Allow tracking and Continue without tracking. Both choices keep the full site and checkout available. We store that choice in the first-party bs_marketing_consent cookie for up to 180 days. Meta Pixel is not loaded, marketing identifiers are not saved to checkout, and no Conversions API event is sent unless you choose Allow tracking.
Website purchase and advertising measurement
After you allow tracking, the website uses Meta Pixel 206122449725691 to record visits to the DJ and AV offer, product views, and checkout starts. When a purchase completes, our server sends Meta a Purchase event through the Conversions API. That event can include the actual purchase value and currency, the offer tier, Meta browser identifiers (_fbp and _fbc), the Facebook click identifier, campaign tags, the first forwarded IP address, browser user agent, and a one-way SHA-256 hash of the purchase email. We do not send leads, client messages, gig details, or booking files to Meta.
We use this information to attribute sales, measure advertising, limit wasted promotion, and improve which offers are shown. First-party campaign cookies set by us last for up to 90 days. Meta handles the information it receives under its own privacy terms. You can continue without tracking, block cookies, or clear the consent cookie to choose again.
Website purchases, licenses, and support
Stripe processes checkout and sends us the purchase email, customer and subscription references, amount, currency, and offer selected. We store the information needed to issue and manage your license, provide access, prevent fraud, and support your purchase. The Freshdesk support widget can process the messages and contact details you choose to send. Your working booking data remains on your own machine.
The one thing that leaves your device: notifications
So the app can alert you when something needs your attention (for example, “a decision needs you”), it registers with your platform’s push service - Apple Push Notification service on iOS, Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android, via Expo’s push relay. This creates an anonymous push token (an opaque device identifier) used only to route notifications to your phone.
The content of those notifications is deliberately limited to small counts and a generic label. We never put a lead name, a message, a date, a price, or any workspace text into a push notification. The push token is stored under your device’s encryption and is removed when you unpair.
Permissions and why we ask
- Camera - only to scan the pairing QR code shown on your computer. It is not used for anything else.
- Notifications - to send the alerts described above.
- Network - to reach your paired computer over your private connection and to receive notifications.
- Files - only when you explicitly pick an image, video, or audio file to send to your own computer. We do not scan your storage.
Where your data is stored
Pairing credentials are kept in your device’s secure keystore and never leave the device. Files you send are copied to a private app cache during transfer and deleted afterward. Your actual business data lives on your own computer, under your control.
Keeping your data safe
All data between your phone and your computer travels over your private Tailscale connection, which is encrypted end to end (built on the WireGuard protocol). Nobody in between, including us, can read it.
Deleting your data
Because there is no central account, you are always in control. In the app, use Settings → Forget this computer to unpair - this clears the stored pairing credentials and the push token from your phone. You can also revoke a phone’s access from the desktop app at any time. Your business data lives on your own computer and is yours to keep or delete.
Children
Booked Solid is a professional tool for adults running a booking business. It is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the apps or website handle data, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
